SJRA strives to hire top tier employees who are passionate about serving the community. The SJRA team works around the clock providing essential services to those in our area. Our team goes to several career fairs throughout the year to try to recruit employees to help us grow in talent that we know can help in accomplishing SJRA’s commitment to providing water for our community.

The River Authority hires employees in engineering, IT, operations, water treatment, administrative services, communications, and more. SJRA has approximately 170 employees across five different office locations including Lake Conroe, The Woodlands, and the Highlands. Many employees love working at SJRA because they feel that the staff is like family to them. There are many employees that have worked at SJRA for 10, 20, or even more years, showing that it is a place for opportunity, growth, and comradery. Our employees are highly encouraged to pursue more professional certification, licenses, and take classes that can help them grow in their career at SJRA.

Working at SJRA isn’t like working at any other company. Many of our employees sacrifice their holidays and weekends to serve the community no matter what the conditions may be. During storms, freezes, and droughts, SJRA employees are working hard to make sure the community’s water needs are met. Working at SJRA is truly a form of serving the community, and our employee’s love for service highlights that.

If you or someone you know is interested in working for the community’s water needs, you can find job openings on our website at Careers at San Jacinto River Authority (SJRA). You can also follow SJRA on LinkedIn to stay up to date on employee highlights and job openings.
