During the first week of April, several members of SJRA spent the week at Texas Water 2022. Texas Water is the largest water-focused conference in the state and its’ attendees include organizations and companies focused on water supply, innovation, engineering, and water-related fields. Among SJRA’s staff that attended Texas Water were members of Flood Management Division, Tech Services Department, Public Communications, Utility Enterprise, Risk Management, and Geographic Information System.
SJRA was honored to receive one Watermark award and one Watermark honorable mention for its communications projects. SJRA was honored for the Lake Conroe mini-series that featured different topics about SJRA’s work on Lake Conroe including the SJRA’s partnership with Texas Parks and Wildlife “Christmas Tree Fish Habitat on Lake Conroe”, “Lake Conroe Fishing Tips,” and “SJRA Weather Aware Guide.” The mini-series videos can be viewed at SJRA’s YouTube page.
SJRA was awarded Honorable Mention for its one-of-a-kind project viewer. The Project Viewer is an interactive map where users can click on different projects around their area and read more details on what projects SJRA is working on currently. The viewer can be found on SJRA’s website.
