Description
The Spring Meadows Crossing on the Highlands East Canal was found to have active and extensive erosion occurring behind the downstream headwall. Erosion has caused a collapse of the ground behind the headwall through which the siphon pipes are visible, and water can be seen flowing underneath the siphon pipes.

Status & Schedule
Work to begin immediately and will be done in phases:
- Phase 1 was completed in late 2021 to insert a slip pipe through an existing SJRA pipe.
- Phase 2
- Engineering has been completed; and
- Construction began mid 2022.
No interruption in service to SJRA customers during either phase is anticipated.
Anticipated Project Completion: March 2023
